What types of grants are available from the Templeton Publishing Subsidy Program?
Publishers can apply for two different grants through the program:
Financial Assistance Subsidy: a grant that will be applied to the actual publication costs of the book, or a grant that enhances the value of a publication, like a DVD or a color-plate section, or supplemental marketing, such as an author tour.
Translation Subsidy: a grant that underwrites all or part of the translation costs for a particular book
How do I apply to the Templeton Publishing Subsidy Program?
Publishers may apply online through this Web site. All submissions are transmitted electronically to the program manager, and processed immediately upon receipt.
How long will the process take once a submission is made?
Materials will be reviewed and a final decision on each submission will be made within 60 days of receipt of all materials.
